This
is a bass uke (that's right,
a bass uke tuned the same as an upright: E-A-D-G) made
by MIKE CHOCK. The back and sides are
Norfolk pine (very beautiful indeed) and the top is Englemann
spruce. Do check out the rope binding. This instrument,
still turning heads because of its sound, newness and
portability, MUST be heard to be believed! You'll be astounded.
I recommend you follow the development of the bass uke
closely. Thanks especially to the UKULELE GUILD OF HAWAII,
bass ukes have a distinctively bright future.

This
tenor uke personally handcrafted by Eric
Devine has Brazilian rosewood back and sides
with 100 year old cedar top. Do check out Eric's work
with the inlays. As beautiful as this instrument looks
(how 'bout that back!!!!), its sound is astonishing. I've
yet to hear better!!!! I maintain a unique relationship
with luthiers whose work I embrace ------- when making
me another instrument, I always ask (and they always respond
accordingly) that it be better than the one they made
for me previously. I play these ukes so that I get to
know them and experience how the luthier is developing,
then make them available to YOU for YOUR enjoyment. This
way, everybody grows!!!!

This is a
FANTASTIC instrument!!! Made by Eric
Devine, it is a six-string (the double courses
are the two lower-pitched strings) baritone
with world-class curly koa back and sides and Adirondack
spruce top. If you like jazz, you'll love the warm, mellow
sound of this work of art. Nice job, Eric!!!!

This too is an Eric
Devine inspired six-string baritone, similarly
coursed. The back and sides are Milo and the top 100 year
old cedar. I'm VERY impressed with its sound!!! Having
received other ukes around the same time frame as this
one, I ignored it for a few weeks. When I finally played
it again, it ROARED at me and wouldn't let me put it down
for a LONG time. Accordingly, I'm going to use it in concert
this week.

I was in Eric
Devine's shop one day when he asked me if I wanted
to see what Sapelli looked like. It wasn't
five minutes later that I ordered this guitar from him.
You can see for yourself how beautiful this wood turned
out. The neck is also Sapelli and the top is 100 year
old cedar. The sound is INCREDIBLE and improving. This
classical guitar with radiused fingerboard is best voiced
in Drop-C ki ho'alu.

This "Pegasus" guitar
made by Bob Gleason provides a hauntingly
beautiful ki ho'alu sound ------- indeed, world class!!!!!
But do check out the looks and workmanship ----- simply
state-of-the-art!!! This guitar has mango back and sides
and a redwood top. Bob, thanks for this very artistic
contribution to wonderful nahenahe sound. I hate to part
with this instrument but it really needs to be put in
circulation for someone else to enjoy also. Please make
more!!!!
